Tribal Museum of Pune is dedicated to the tribal communities of the state of Maharashtra. Situated on the Queens Road, the museum is open to visitors only between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. It mostly documents the cultures of the communities from the Sahyadri and Gondhavana regions.
There is very nice collection of art, artifacts and handicraft. There is one wall which is covered with a huge collection of masks. Excellent documentation via photographs and artifacts of the life and customs of the very unusual tribal people of Maharashtra are here.
