Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum

This museum displays a variety of artifacts which showcases the vastness and diversity of culture of the country and people. Established in 1920 museum has more than 15000 objects on display.

Opening Hours: 10AM to 5.30PM all days except few public holidays.

Bund Garden: It is a welcome retreat for migratory birds during winter. In this garden, magic shows and horse riding are organised.

Parvati Temple: Built atop a hill, this former private shrine of Peshwas is one of the pilgrim centers to watch.

Aga Khan Palace: It is famed for its connect with the Indian Independence movement. British held many important freedom fighters under arrest in this Palace.

Pataleshwar Cave Temple: Pataleshwar Cave Temple, a rock cut shrine dating back to 8th century, is historical temple in the middle of Jangli Maharaj Road in Shivaji Nagar Pune.

Shinde’s Chhatri: Shinde’s Chhatri was constructed as a memorial of the Maratha noble character Shri Mahadji Shinde.

Shaniwar wada: The ruins of this erstwhile residence of Peshwas form one of the most picturesque sites in Pune.

National War Museum: National War Museum was built by Express Citizen’s Forum, an organisation of Pune citizens. After the stone laying foundation held in November 1977, the museum was opened in October 1998.

Tulsi Baug: Tulsi Baug, a prominent shopping area in the city, has shops selling women’s items.

Someshwarwadi Temple: This is ancient temple of lord Shiva. It is said that young Shivaji used to come to pray with his mother Jijamata on there stay in Pune at Lal Mahal. Plenty of people come here on occasions like Shiv Ratri and holy Shravan month.
