Pune is rich of historical, heritage and naturally important place worth for tourism also. Pune is also blessed with proximity to Konkan region full of natural and clean beaches. Alibaug Beach: Alibaug or Alibag a 300 years old beach town of Konkan region is one of the most popular weekend gateway for citizen of Mumbai and Pune. By road it is around 110 km from north Mumbai and 130 km from city of Pune. Main tourist attractions at Alibaug are Alibuag beach, Siddheshwar Mandir near Khandale, Alibag Fort, Khanderi & Underi Islands and Bet El Synagogue. A visit to the sea-forts of Colaba or the Murud Janjira is the highlight of a vacation in Alibaug.

Anjarle Beach: Anjarle is a clean, unspoiled beach with white sand just 26 km from Dapoli. It is famous for the ‘Kadyawarcha Ganpati’.

Dabhol Beach: Dabhol has a small beach of black sand. Gopalgad, lighthouse and ancient temples are near by attraction here.

Dahanu Beach: Dahanu beach is another holiday destination for Punekars. It is 240 Kms from Pune. It is also known as Mecca of Zoroastrians.

Ganpatipule Beach: Birth place of Lokmanya Tilak the Ganpatipule town is located in Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. Ganpatipule is famous for its beach, temple and natural beauty around it. Ganpatipule beach is a 12 KM long beautiful white sand beach.

Harihareshwar: Harihareshwar is a popular weekend getaway for people froom Mumbai and Pune. It is surrounded by four holy hills Harihar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri and Pushpadri. Harihareshwar is a famous for its tranquility and picturesque beach and temple of Harihareshwar.

Kashid Beach: Kashid is famous beach in north Konkan. It is around 170 km from Pune, 30 km from Alibag and 135 km from Mumbai on the Alibag-Murud road. Kashid is popular mainly because of its white sand, blue seas, green mountains, paddy fields, and rivulets. Kashid has a 3 km stretch of beach tucked in between two rocky hillocks with Casuarina groves all around the seashore.

Murud beach: Murud is a small town in Konkan, it is around 11KM from famous tourist spot Dapoli. Murud is blessed with a long scenic beach with swaying palms. Murud has a lot of beach resorts to stay and enjoy delicious fresh sea food like Surmai (King-fish), Pom-fret and Prawns.

Velneshwar Beach: Velneshwar is a town located in Konkan. It is part of Ratnagiri District and situated at a distance of approximately 136 km from the Ratnagiri town. One of the prime attraction of this town is the Shiva Temple. Another tourist destination is the Velneshwar Beach. Its rock-free beach offers the visitor the ideal opportunity for swimming.

Vengurla Beach: Located on Goa-Maharashtra border in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra, Vengurla is surrounded by the bow-shaped range of hills (Tulas, Dabholi, Mochemad) and popular for plantations of cashew, mango, coconut, and different kinds of berry trees. Vengurla is well known for its temples and beautiful beaches like Vayangani, Sagareshwar, Mochemad, Sagarteerth, Shiroda – Velagar and Redi.
